I'm not sure what type of tree it is. The trunk of the tree is turning black and spreading up. It has spread to the other tree in our front yard that's about 10 ft. away. Does anyone have any ideas as to what's wrong with it?

It seems like every year I try a different type of tomato and can't seem to come up with a favorite. What do you like and why? I live in the southeastern corner of Washington State so it has to be something that can be grown in Zone 7. Thank you in advance for your input and information.

I just bought some pepper plants and some various vegetable seeds. I've never been able to keep things alive, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how often to water, how much, best environments, etc. I'm totally clueless when it comes to plants.

What are the best kinds of flowers to plant in the Spring that will last all Summer long? What are those flowers called that look like long, skinny, purple lilacs, that grow tall and spike-like out of a bush? Sorry that second question was really vague! Any gardeners out there who can help?

(1) Vitamin A

(6) Fertilizer

Any and all non-stupid answers are appreciated. Thank you and Have a nice day!

I have an Ortho hose end sprayer, Dial n Spray. I bought Miraclo-Gro water soluble plant food packets. The Ortho sprayer jar says fill 1/4 to 1/2 full (8 to 16 oz). The Miraclo-Gro packet says use the whole packet, 32 oz? Can I use Miracle-Gro in my Ortho sprayer and how much do I mix, dilute? I am just trying to fertalize some flowering shrubs.

I live in Arizona and I do not have any bee problems around the plants, but they're a constant problem around the rock waterfall we had built. They're always around and once the waterfall is turned on, even more come out.

Hi,

I am looking for a privacy hedge to go in the front yard that gets a lot of sun. I will be taking care of them myself so something that doesn't need very much care, occasional watering and feeding is fine. Am thinking arbrovitea or privet hedge although not sure if there is a lot of work with privet hedge.

Thank you!

I am looking into building a pond and am trying to find what to line it with. My pond is going to be about 7'x14' and 4' deep. The pond liners that I have been looking at cost about $300. Does anyone know of something cheap that I could line my pond with? Is there a kind of soil that I could use? Must be fish safe. Thank you!

I bought the house and the neighbor had the spare keys. I go to get them and she asked if i had dogs. Which i toldc her 2 miniture schnauzers. She said hers {pitbulls} would kill my dogs and are very agressive towards other animals. They have ripped apart possums and killed a doberman that came in her yard. She just kept saying it would be irresponsible not to tell you. The yard has a 5 foot chainlink fence anmd iod below my yard so i spent 10 grand on a board on board 6 foot wood fence and had it built inside the chainlink fence i asked her to go in on a fence and she said she had no money. So i left the chainlink. so trhey have to go through a 5 foot chainlin k and then a 6 foot wood fence.Do you think my dogs are safe now?????

... it is still a little chilly at night, so I move them to a warmer place until the morning, when I move them back into the window area.

What I am wondering is: what temperature range makes them happiest? They are just ordinary plants - nothing exotic.

During the day, there is little problem because of the heating and the sunshine, but at night it is a little cold, I think.

Please?

Ta!
