The yard is not too big for a rototiller but big enough for the bobcat. The rental price is the same for either. I'm going to re-sod the yard when I'm done.

I want to use something that would get rid of little insects that eat on the leaves of my healthy petunia plants.

But is there some alternative solutions rather than dangerous chemicals?

I'm looking to buy a garden tiller. I've talked to a couple stores, Home Depot, Lowes etc and they all say they both have their good points and bad points which leaves me with not much to go on except someone who has used both.

Hi All,

I have just built a patio and i have quite a bit of dry cement on my grass. There is a bit too much to pick up by hand. Can anyone recommend a method of removing the cement.

Someone has told me to use a lawnmower to do it, but to watch out for flying stones. Would this be the best solution.

Thanks in advance

Matt

My grandmother has these tiny little ants in her extremely clean house, that when squished have a very offensive chemical smell. Does anyone have any info about these ants. What are they or what might be causing this CHEMICAL TYPE SMELL?

also she has had trouble ridding her house of these little pests, they are hard to kill.

Have lived in this same area for 25 years and this event hasn't occurred that I can recall. The new leaves withered on the trees from temperatures in the 20's for almost a week. Will this show up on the tree rings too? I've been told the trees will reproduce new leaves.

It was so beautiful for a couple of weeks I went out and bought some tomatoe plants and planted them and they were looking beautiful. But then with this late season freeze most of my plants died. I have one plant that I had planted in a huge pot. Before the freeze I brought it inside my house. The pot is too heavy for me to drag it in and out but the dryness of the heater and the lack of light seem to be doing almost as much dammage as the cold. It is looking limp and Yellow. And the freeze looks like it will last for at least a few more days. It is by the glass door so it gets as much light as I can arrange. Any ideas?

I would like to use my Ford F150 to remove some evergreen bushes in my front yard. Do I hook up the chains and back straight up away from the bushes or do I turn the wheel while backing away?

We built a retaining wall that is 8 blocks high by about 45 long. There are 8 curves in the wall. To cover up the gaps on the tops of the blocks we bought some capstones. When we put the capstones on we are ending up with pie shaped piece gaps in between the them. Are we doing this right? When putting capstones on do you have to cut them to fit??? TIA

I am looking at starting up a business of Mowing lawns and doing spring clean up, like hauling brush and picking up mulch and spreading it for customers. I like to know what should I charge like on a small lawn and then what do i charge for big lawns and then maybe even like huge places of business that have alot of lawn. Do i charge by the Hour, or by the job. Also what should i charge just to go pick up a thing of mulch or whatever they want, I know the cost i would add in of what the cost of the amount of mulch they need but what is my charge to pick it up, then if they want me to spead it out. Also what about hauling brush to get rid of for them. I do have a place to put the brush at no cost but i need to make something on a cleanup and hauling brush or whatever. I have done almost all these things but never of my own business. Can anyone help me out. I live in New Hampshire.
Thanks and if any other suggestion would be nice also.

Thaks again

Hi all. I am trying to think of ways to be more environmentally friendly and I would like some information on composting. I do not have a yard but I do grow flowers on my deck and I was wondering how I would go about composting on my deck.

It is a brick built rectangular pond. The pond is approx 2mtrs long by 1.2 mtrs wide. It is 65cm from bottom to top of brick work. There is a section 80cm(l) x 20cm(w) x 90cm (d to top of wall) at one end. There is a waterfall around 80-90cm tall at one end of the pond. Which pump and filter would be best to use? Do I need extra pumpage to feed waterfall? Where is best to situate filter (i'm thinking atop and behind the waterfall, as this looks like where the original one would have been). Any advice would be welcome. Thanks
