Hopefully you did,t use ground up pine, that always smells.
but put a light layer of dirt or sand around the plants and bury the smell. you can get treated saw dust that,ll repel animals.
Flower mulch stinks like cat wizz when it,s wet anyways, cedar
is stinky wizzy. put a 6ft. fence around the garden, chicken wire
works. this will keep out the deer and dogs, rabbits.

I'm afraid the smell is there for good. Rake it up, put down fresh mulch, and sprinkle it with cayenne pepper to keep cats away. You'll have to put down more pepper every few days.

Cedar mulch may do it...if you live near any wilderness areas you may be able to pick cedar in the wild. Spread it around...very aromatic. Can you put up a fence to keep the cat out of your flowers?

The odour won't go away immediately but it will become less smelly provided you can keep the cat away.
To do this you can plant rue (which cats hate!) or dampen the area with a little vinegar.
