I live in Arizona and I do not have any bee problems around the plants, but they're a constant problem around the rock waterfall we had built. They're always around and once the waterfall is turned on, even more come out.

well you seemed to answer your question. you say that when you turn on your waterfall the bees seem to come out.I bet if you get a chance to look closely without getting stung that there might be a nest either in the fall or behind it and the water wakes them up. I might suggest you try smoking them out and see where the hive is at. Or find someone who is familiar with bees do the looking for you and try to get rid of your pest.
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

They are going after the water. Even bees need to drink.

They may also have a nest somewhere in the rocks. Since Africanized bees are in Arizona, I'd want to know what type bees those are. Problem is how to get them without getting the colony upset. Contact your Cooperative Extension Service for more information on bees in your area and how to capture them. Also the agent will tell you how to have them identified. To find the agent, look in the blue pages of the phone book......usually under county listings.....agriculture. Give them a call.
