South facing because you get the sun all day long on your garden. A North facing garden only has sun at a certain time of the day on certain parts of your garden.

A south facing garden gets sun all day, better for most plants.

As you will see from previous answers a south facing garden is warmer and sunnier than north facing. However, if you are thinking of moving don't be put off just because your garden does not face the right way. There are far more important things to consider. i.e. price/location/living space/distance to work, schools etc.

Sun rises in the east, but it will be in a south kind of east right now. Sping where the east is now, the sun will rise midway until Summer where it will be at it's highest point. North and South will remain constant loooking east South is on the right, Norht is behind you. West well they use to say go west young man. Thought all americans knew where that is. West will always be where the sun sets. Sorry you already had enough information in here anyway

You should ask if an East or West facing garden is preferable, whether it's North or South you will get some sun in both the morning and evening.

IT DEPENDS!! What kind of flowers/vegetables do you like for your garden?? Where do you live?? What is your weather like all year round??

If you like plants with instructions that say: Plant in FULL sun. Then you want a Southern exposure in your garden!!

If you live in a very warm summer area and want tropical plants, then a Northern exposure will be what you are looking for. Morning sun, afternoon shade.

If you live in a VERY HOT area, you will want to plant large trees on the South side of your house to shield it from the sun and the heat in the summer time.

So many choices!! Good Luck!

South facing, in the northern hemisphere a north facing garden would have insufficient sunlight...enjoy your garden:)

If you are moving to a hot hot climate, (tropics) a north facing living room and garden will enable you to be a bit cooler in the day.

But for growing veggies/flowers in a more temperate clime, go for south facing.

Unless you aer in Australia. (Maybe??)
