A Petunia in a rose bed is a weed.
So called weeds are the ancestors of the flowers in our gardens.
I try to get the people who i garden for to grow our native wild flowers.

There is no such thing as a weed, a weed is only unwanted vegetation, wild flowers e.t.c.
