Sugar in the soil is redundant but not lethal. Plants secrete carbon in the form of sugars, cellulose, and long-chain carbohydrates to attract and feed beneficial soil bacteria and fungus. If you add much sugar you disturb the balance between the plant and its symbionts. Also sugar could act as an osmoticum, and tend to "draw out" the water from your plant's roots if you added a high concentration of sugar.

Try molasses shared with your plant instead. It has long been recognized as beneficial.

Again tea or coffee in small amounts are fine but will acidify the soil over time.

You are not the only one to use home fertilizers;
From Master Gardener Jerry Baker's Files "The Master's" All Purpose Fertilizer
* 1 can beer
* 1 can cola (any kind, NOT diet)
* 1 box or cup apple juice
* 1 cup lemon scented liquid soap
* 1 cup ammonia
* 1 cup liquid lawn fertilizer
Mix together all ingredients. If you buy liquid lawn fertilizer with a hose sprayer attachment, you can use the attachment with any 1 liter bottle to make a 50 gallon sprayer. Spray your lawn and garden with the above mixture every 3 weeks, early in the day.
For houseplants, mix 4 shot glasses of the above mixture to 1 gallon of water and add 1/4 tsp knox gelatin.

Tea and coffee would not harm anything but I would not use soda/pop. This is especially true if it is cola. Second bad thing about using pop is the sugar. You will probably be having an ant colony visiting soon.

If its working, then go with it. If it was starting to fail, you would notice it. Unless it seems adversely affected theres no real reason to change what you are doing, but if it starts to seem unhealthy just switch to water. (Can plants become caffeine addicts? Just to be safe maybe dilute a little bit of soda in the water lol)

Some plants like acid in tea and coffee-- no pop or sugar or cream..You will kill the plant with pop.
