Why dont you just sit and watch them until they land in a tree and then you should know the answer.

Too many bridges and tall buildings around. They used to live in trees but moved to the bridges and tall buildings many years ago. Now the young do not know better. If we tore all the bridges and tall buildings down they would all go extinct.

Pigeons are city folk. They can't be bothered with all that nature stuff. They like man made things.

we have loads of pidgeons where i live in trees at the bottom of my garden
