No they are just a particular color for the blossom. Mums come in mixes of red, yellow, gold, and white, for example. I don't think they taste good but none of them are listed as poisonous, although some people do get contact dermatitis from touching the leaves and stems (irregardless of the flower color)..

I don't think they are poisonous to humans (I could be wrong) but they are poisonous to dogs and cats.

I don't believe so. Maybe not every kind, but some of are edible.
