My apple trees are six years old and have produced fruit in the past. For the past two years, shortly after the tree has blossomed something eats the blooms. There is no damage to the leaves or bark.

My 16-year-old St Bernard dog, Ted, has passed away yesterday and my daughter and I are tremendously upset. My daughter is only fourteen-years-old and so you could imagine that the dog was like a father to her.

My daughter wants to bury the dog in our back garden but I don't know the laws on this. And, if we are allowed, my daughter has offered to dig the hole and put him in it and fill it up and stamp her feet on the soil to pack it nice and tight.

But it's a big dog and so I'm worried about the size of the hole. Anything could happen! My daughter might accidentally fall in the hole and I wouldn't know anything about it. I spend most of my days at work when it's light outside so I will not be able to help with the shovelling.

So are we allowed to do this is this country?

I have a boring garden and so does my neighbour 'Betty'. Last month I decided to improve my garden and planted many evergreens. The next day, I looked out of my bedroom window and discovered that Betty had copied and added twice as much evergreens as me. The following week, I decided to add a nice small fountain. Within two days, Betty had installed a massive artficial waterfall which was bigger than my house. Naturally I was upset so I decided to cheer myself up and bought a Land Rover. Then just yesterday morning, I looked out of my kitchen window and discovered that Betty had treat herself to a Porsche. BUT today was the last straw. Betty overheard me say to my friend that I was going to book flying lessons. Then this afternoon, I saw Betty fly over my house very low and the vibration cracked my new garden fountain.

Is there anything I can say to her to stop her making me feel uneased???

I bought my house and it had a small pond in the back one of my ideas was to convert it into a sunken firepit. However here is where my question lies. How do I provide adequate drainage for it. I live in the Hutto, TX area and we have very clayey soil.

I am presently extending the height of my garden fence to 30 feet. I knows it's a little too high for the small garden that I have but I want to sunbathe this summer in private as I am very fat. (I'm male!)

You might think that my next-door neighbour is the only possible person to see me sunbathing in the nude through her bedroom window, but fortunately she is completely blind and her guide dog doesn't look through her window as he isn't allowed on the windowsill.

But I'm worried about her home-help! They might see my fat body while they dust her windowsill.

Should I tell her to stop her home-help? I can dust on days when it's cloudy! And has anyone else had this same problem?

I dug a massive hole in my garden and filled it in with water from a hose. The next day, I woke up and excitedly invited my dad around to my house so he could see my pond.

I was shocked and confused whent the pond had suddenly disapeared and all we saw was a muddy hole. My dad smacked the back of my head and told me that he was ashamed of me. He said I was thick as sh*t, told me that you don't make ponds like that and then he went off for his Sunday dinner without saying goodbye.

So how the hell do you make these garden ponds????????

Would you rather have the full package kind of thing (lawn mowing, mulching, trimming, fertilizing, aeration, etc.) for the entire year already planned out and divided into equal payments over 8-9 months or would you rather do everything item by item?

I personally would rather do it item by item, that way I could decide at the time if I want to spend that money or not, but it seems that most people are expecting me to make up a full contract with equal payments for everything, and I dont know why really?

Why or why not?

And how long would you give them in your mind before you felt they were being unprofessional and you should call someone else instead?

I am a landscaper and I just feel such anxiety about calling people back, I dont know why!

I think it is just anxiety!

So how long after you left a message would you give them before you felt like it had been to long?

I have built a massive garden-rockery today at the back of my garden. However, it is so impressively high with huge rocks at the top, that I'm worried that it will colapse and spill over my low fence and rest on the public pathway.

But, that pathway is always full of 'hoodies' and 'chavs' and surely it wouldn't matter if the rocks crushed the likes of them.

Please help! Should I lower my rockery or warn the 'hoodies' and 'chavs' of future falling rocks?

MyI garden is not as big as the ones that Jonathan Ross have or Victoria Beckham. I want mine very big so it takes about 5 minutes to walk around it with a cigarette or a hot mug of tea.

I am thinking of moving the back fence at the bottom of the garden and place it further down the estate. Unfortunately there is a busy main road there. I'm sure the cars can easily find another route into our village if I place the fence there under the cover of darkness.

Has anyone tried doing this and how did you get on?

Please reply!

Thanks in advance.

My husband and I recently moved into our first home. The yard is beautiful. It has about 6 Oak trees that surround our front porch, front yard, and driveway. Now just as winter hit is when we moved in and the trees made sap like crazy! They were huge blobs almost quarter sized drops on our windshields and front porch. Now that winter is coming to an end and our trees are starting to get their leaves back, the sap is here again.

My question is this, during what seasons are these trees going to do this? It causes all of these tiny little bees to swarm ALL over my yard. Which, could be another question, how do I get rid of those? I can't find the nest... how do I find it?
