Boiling it in water or dipping it in rubbing alcohol, just don't wipe off the blade afterwards. Let it air dry.

I need to sterilize knives to work with plants and avoid contamination from viruses and bacteria. Alchohol is good, but the rag might be dirty. I use a propane torch and swipe it across the edge for a few moments. 100% effective and nothing touches the blade. Be careful - knives are bad, hot knives...well. Place the knife on a rest in the air if you need it to cool. The knife itself doesn't need to get hot, just the surface.

Place it in boiling water for 5 minutes, or wipe it down with rubbing alcohol.

No need to boil for 10 minutes - baby bottles only have to be boiled for 5 minutes, so that should be sufficient.

Boil for at least 10 minutes. Or soak in alcohol for the same time.
