It is just sitting in the back yard. I thought I might try to grow some veggies. It is a huge bed, but is full of grass, weeds, and a small tree.
What do I need to do? Would it be better to try and make another flower bed?

My roommate and I are new at gardening (as in, never tried it at all before). We've been trying to dig up weeds and get an area ready for the past week, and although it seems that we will never be ready for the actual planting step, I think today we might be able to get some stuff in the ground

Yesterday, we spent an insane amount of money on plants, but when we were trying to arrange where we would put everything, it doesn't fill up even half of the area. We bought some seeds to put in as well, but it just looks so empty. Does anyone have any suggestions for fillers/cheap, yet pretty plants/plants that spread out.

I have a large bamboo plant (several shoots of it) Is there a way to separate the roots without hurting it so I can put some of the shoots into seperate pots?
I think that it has outgrown it's pot and I don't want to upgrade to a larger one because it is big enough!

I also read that you can trim the roots so it stops growing but stays alive? How do I do that?

If you know of any sites that would help me with in depth info on how to go about doing these things please add!

I just planted some herbs (cilantro, oregano, thyme, lavender) in an indoor pot. The lady at the nursery said lots of sun and somewhat dry soil. How often should I water them? Plus they only get sun about 4 hours/day. Is that enough?

i have two of them, i don't know what you call them but they're like 20 inches tall and around 15 years old. Probably a japanese maple.. dunno, anyways i just bought them for an extremley large amount of money and... they're shrivling and leaves are curling upwards and losing their rich green colour. What the hell is happening? I cannot really pierce the pot from beneath because i'm afraid the pot will crack. I water them once a week and keep them indoors near the window where they get a mild amount of sunlight.

PLEAASSSEE some one help me.. these plants are like family to me

iam volunteering at a not-for-profit place looking after plants and animals. i know afew of the names of some of the plants definatly not the scientic names. Because i find it hard to remember these names and they change all the time aparently, would that hinder my chances of getting an apprentiship or other job in this field?

HI - I am finding my Breville coffee machine a little sluggish (happened a couple of times). That is, the steamer didn't start dripping when the machine was switched on (should start dripping about a minute after). A friend who is a coffee fanatic told me to use a mixture of lemon juice and ? (forgotten) but I was not willing to waste lemons for this (and the method seemed complex).
Can anyone advise me what to use and how to do it?
