I reside in the S.W uUS and have decided to construct a Rock garden with Sea shells in my patio area, any Ideas for a landscaping theam ? I'm a grennie at this,but,at the same time listening for advise ... THANK YOU

Build a rockery in a corner,say a north facing corner which will not get much light. Put down some rubble and some soil placing large stones as you build. Instead of putting in plants paint stones with luminous paint. I did this and it looks great.

My daughter and I last year turned a little problem part of our yard into an Island.
We covered the ground with plastic and put sand on it. We also added a pond and then put goldfish in it. Seashells around in the sand we had a 4 foot wooden boat from a local hobby store added that and an umbrella. We add sea things as we see them. A little fish net with some bobbers stuck in them with starfish and sandollars. Looks great and we have an island all to ourselves..

Don't forget to shop for one of those funny lighthouses that stand about 4 feet tall. They're cute!
