Our dog urinates in our yard and it discolors the grass. Unfortunately she has a submissive urination problem, so every time you approach her when she has to urine, she sees the approach as a challenge and shows her submission by urinating. That makes it difficult to leash her and walk her away from the lawn. Any suggestions on how to treat the grass where she's urinated to remove the discoloration?

We have a small strawberry patch, and right now it's full of brown dried leaves from last year. I don't think I should pull out the old plants, or should I trim them maybe to the ground? Also, they get very thick in the summer, wondering if a periodic thinning (pulling out some of the plants) should be done throughout the summer?

I'm raking the moss off the lawn by hand, and it is taking a long time.

Is there a power tool that can do this job ?
If so, what is it called and where can I get one ?

Thanks

I also do not want the obvious suggestion of cutting the thing down. The thing is a very high leylandia type tree which my neighbour has deliberately let grow to block my view of the spectacular surronding scenery. He actually tried to bribe me with an empty promise to cut it down. I have since found out that this blockage of the view affects the sale value of my property. It also affects amenity , which is another point which I have seen quoted in similar examples. In other words it does not just happen to me.My neighbour is a nasty sad old man, and is doing this on purpose. Is there a straight forward way to deal with this matter other than start up my Husky chainsaw ?

It is getting warm again and here are these slimy creatures, coming from who knows where, and they leave a trail behind them. They are disgusting. I know salt will dissolve them, but I want to know if there is anything I could put down that will prevent them?

We planted 29 small pine trees but the children where we live and their dogs are killing off the trees. So we have decided to build a fence. The poles will be 6 feet tall, then the fence will have to be built on them. Anyone got any ideas how to do this? This fence will just behind the trees. To keep the children and dogs from walking through the trees. Thanks.

I have high sand/clay soil, and would like to plant grass, trees, and shrubs, but am not sure what type of organics to add. I'm also on a pretty tight budget and the most cost effective ways would be most appreciated. Would rototilling in lawn clippings be a good idea? Are there any good websites anyone would recomend?

I planted 56 glads last year and not one of them came up. Hopefully they will this year? Is there any type of bulbs that can be planted in early spring and will flower that year? ( I live in Michigan)

It's about fifteen foot tall. The once beautiful crimson & green leaves had holes throughout last fall and edges looking prematurely brown. A so called expert said there was'nt much I could do without spending a fortune, and then not much hope. Is there a spray or something I could purchase from a nursery and do it myself ?
