The appropriately named variety "Mammoth" is the tallest I know of. It averages 12' and will grow as tall as 16'.

I grow all kinds of sunflowers and my biggest were "Mammoth" they grew higher than the garage!!

My neighboor planted some "russian mammoth by burpee" that were about 15 feet when all was said and done
