Fast growing ground creeper, with yellow flowers and dark green leaves. It grows really fast and seems to love being weeded!

Somewhat thick grass where sun comes thru. everything green between grass and moss, no mud. Huge flower box by trunk. Roots that stick up out of ground make it hard to mow. Thinking about dumping top soil, leveling and reseeding. Would it be worth the trouble if i just sprinkled some seed now?

I planted some snap dragons last year and the winter was so mild that the plants were still green under the snow! They are still growing and green. Will they still have as many blossoms as they did the first season or should I pull them up and replant new ones?

I am doing some foundation planning and have settled on a crape myrtle that will grow 7-10 feet at maturity. How close can I plant this to my house without having to worry about its roots and my foundation?

We just moved into our new house in October. The previous owners didn't like the grass in the back yard, so they cut the lawn out and reseeded. There are two large locust trees in the backyard that provide a great deal of shade, which explains the thin grass growth. I am hoping to plant some hostas and various perrenials along the foundation of our house. There is one thing that worries me though. The ground bordering the back of the house is bare, and grass is present about 1 1/2 feet from the house. It's like a grassless border. Since grass isn't growing there, does that mean nothing else will?
