It's very hard to do, because crabgrass is very similar to regular grass. What kills one will kill the other. Your best bet is to spot kill the worst of it and pull it all out by hand. Crabgrass comes up easily with some gentle pulling. Keeping up with it before it spreads prevents it from suffocating your healthy grass.

you go to the gas station, buy a galon of diesel and pour it onto the grass that is the problem...

it will kill it in a few days ;) LOL, DONT do that :) it will also kill the other grass...

go to the local garden department and perhaps ask the guys there.. ;)

use the chemical MSMA it kills the weed and not the grass,
altho the grass will look brown it will come back.
