We have a bug problem at my house, and arent really sure what kind of bugs they are. They seem to live in the ground and come out when it gets hot and they like wood. The are destroying our trees of all kinds. Their mostly red with a black head and resemble a beetle. They form all over our wooden fence in large clumps. please help us find out what kind of bug this is so that we can fix our problem. thank you.

I was just curious why the fruit was dried out like this? It was so dry it was hard on the outside, hollow inside and full of seeds. At first I thought it was fake fruit until I opened it up to the seeds. We just moved in , it was an odd find. I don't know much about gardening but thought this might be some strange way to harvest seeds? There was a pear and what looked like a persimmon (spell check on that one..lol). Any help would be appreciated, if it was for seeds I think I might plant them.

Will a greenhouse stay warm enough and provide enough light to start seeds? I started annuals from seed for the first time this year and was successful starting them indoors. I'm thinking of getting a plastic hobby style greenhouse and trying that next year. It will give me more space but I'm not sure if it will stay warm enough or provide enough light for the seeds to germinate? If it helps, I'm in North Texas.

I want to plant a perennial that will flower from spring to fall. I would also like something that bushes and increases in size year after year. I'm planting in a partial shade area. Any suggestions?

I dug up the main part of the vine 1 year ago but still have shooters coming up all over my back yard and in the bed it was originally in. I hate this thing!

And can it be planted from seed? We planted some type of grass from seed in our side yard. It grew and was really pretty until our dog started using it as a tiolet. Now, there are yellow dead patches and dirt patches where she has gone.
We kept her off of it but when we went out of town our neighbors did not know. Now we need to replant. Any suggestions?

I'm a beginner in gardening, so if my lingo is incorrect, please excuse me. I just moved and want to bring out my front yard with color! What are some pretty flowers/plants/trees that I can plant, but are also economical? Thanks in advance.

I have heard you have to cut all the leaves off. Is that true? And if so, when should I do it?
