How do i get rid of Moss growing in block paving?

instead of blasting it with a jet wash is there any household substance or other i can use that will kill the moss nd its roots.

weed killer maybe or the stuff you put on grass to kill the moss might work.

Moss Killers are normally composed from Sulphate of Iron or Sulphate of Copper.

Purchase it as a lawn sand - follow the directions it will kill the moss effectively loosening it from the paving. The moss will turn black.

Either can be purchased from a Garden Centre.

You can buy special stuff (don't know what it is called) at all good hardware stores (B&Q, Homebase etc.) but whatever you do, DON'T use bleach as although it would do the job, it will kill everything such as cats, dogs, hedgehogs, rabbits etc., who tread on it.

Failing that, elbow grease and a bucket of very hot, soapy water and a stiff broom.

Use ferrous sulphate {iron (II) sulphate} obtainable from garden centres. Try not to splash it around too much as it may stain your paving. The suggestion that you use copper (II) sulphate is not great, it might work but copper salts are very poisonous and persist in the soil once you get them there.

you can buy a proper moss killer,but if you have pets or a green person then salt should do the trick

Lime kills moss also, but you will still need to spray it off somehow once it dies.

high presher jet then when its dry use a bit of lime in the dry kiln sand that should do it.
if u have got trees keep them cut back

Bleach is probably illegal - a good stiff brush, soap and a lot of sweat and grind I fear may be the real answer
