I woke up this morning to a backyard that was all dug up. Just the turf was pulled back; no real holes were found.

I suspect a rodet was searching for grubs, so I laid down a bag of Grub-X, but am fearful the yard will still be subject to future nocturnal attacks.

Here's what my yard looks like: http://www.orlowski.com/yard/

I've seen ground hogs roaming around in the past, as well as stray cats. Some people suggest this is the work of skunks or deer, but I've never seen either ever.

Thanks.

Will need to replace the fence around my (small) property -- approximately 140 linear feet. Want a 6' tall redwood fence with 12" lattice top. Can anyone suggest a ballpark cost or a link or two for info?

Thanks!

Has anyone else noticed that all of their leaves are brown and shrivelled? (And yes...I do realise that it is autumn, and trees do that at this time of year, but they've been like that all summer through!)

Conkers seem fine though, so that's all right!

I have three avocado trees in office. They grew very fast in the first month, but suddenly stoped. How to take care of them? Should I water them a lot or a little? How do I recognize if they are male or female?

I just moved into my house, and they laid the sod in the front and backyard. I know it takes times for it to grow and look healthy, but what can I do to help it? Thanks!

i live in a semi detached house and there is only one fence between my ajoining neighbour. It has blown down several times, and have replaced my self. There is a very big tree in the neighbours garden and the roots are pushing the fence our way with visible roots on our side. Does anyone know where i stand legally.

I'm in a brand new house that was initially seeded by the developer at the end of May. We are in an area with clay soil and core aeration is common. Since the grass is so new, should the lawn be aerated this fall or should we wait until next year?

i just seeded a new lawn about a month ago. this morning i woke up to find that someone drove through our backyard. it looks like they didn't rip up the grass other than it two spots. the big thing is that the soil was really moist from the water i've been using and it left a few nice tire track imprints about 2-3 inches deep. is there anything you can do for the imprints. it makes me so mad, but is there anything i can do or am i going to have to fill it all in with dirt and reseed?
