As long as the sun doesn't fade it (as previously mentioned), it should be fine. You can clean it if it gets dirty (and it might if it's outside.) Be sure to clean it if you bring it back inside--it'll probably have allergens and dust and stuff on it. Mind that it doesn't mildew, though--I don't know that you could remove mildew from silk plants. Just make sure it doesn't get damp and stay damp.

The sun will fade the colors of the flower. Silk is a very beautiful fabric and should be kept inside anyway!

No, the warm weather will not hurt it. In fact they say when you are just planting new flowers in your garden or yard, to use fake flowers, place them into the dirt, so that it looks like you have beautiful full flowers, until the newly planted ones grow and fill in the space. so if you can do that, I can't imagine why you couldn't put a plant on a covered patio..

if they are real silk they can stay in full sun up to 80 degrees but after awhile they may get saggy and in cold weather under 32 degrees they will crack and break if the wind blows or an animal runs into them

The sun and warm air will very quickly fade the color right out of them. BUT, I'm wondering if you sprayed them with Scotch Guard that might prevent that from happening...hmmmm

It has the possibility of collecting more dust than inside but for the most part it should be relatively OK. (Just make sure you DON'T water it LOL)
