i just seeded a new lawn about a month ago. this morning i woke up to find that someone drove through our backyard. it looks like they didn't rip up the grass other than it two spots. the big thing is that the soil was really moist from the water i've been using and it left a few nice tire track imprints about 2-3 inches deep. is there anything you can do for the imprints. it makes me so mad, but is there anything i can do or am i going to have to fill it all in with dirt and reseed?

Destructive pricks. Don't fill it in. The soil in the tire tracks have been compacted and the grass will do worse there because of it--the roots will always be sttuggling. The best thing to do is take a hoe or spade or some instrument and loosen up the soil in the tracks until it's the same level as the rest of the lawn. Wait until it dries a little so you're not working with clumps. When it level it will be lose again. I don't think you need to reseed because much of the seed that's there will probably survive and grass on either side of the trachs will fill in.

I agree with collegeki. Having been gifted with the same thougthless act ourselves on several occassions..... if you do not work with the existing soil, after it dries out, you will always have a scar to remind you they were there. A few strategically places boulders is a great message for future visitors.

ok so he drove by your backyard, no longer doing any harm on your backyard by skill of causing ruts, yet only briefly pulling down your grass (do not mission, it really is going to pop up quickly, and if no longer, it really is iciness besides and demise again besides, so it really is not any longer gonna be everlasting). yet truly of only taking section in a lifelike comic tale on him by skill of oh, knocking and dealing away at the same time as he includes the door, you opt for him to smash his automobile, probably killing him. quick tire blowouts may reason lack of administration that may smash a automobile and kill. no less than, in case you do not harm him, you'll reason him thousands of greenbacks. Is it extremely worth causing your uncle thousands of greenbacks or costing him his life, for pulling down YOUR GRASS? Are you confident you're the best guy right here?

Try filling in with sand. If the grass is still in place I believe it will grow through unless it's really too deep.

Re-seed. If it is a small area, it shouldn't be too bad.
