I heard that I am supposed to pull up my old rhubarb root, seperate it and fertilize it. Is this true and if so, when do I do it? I had next to no production this year so what do I do to fix it?

I have a bunch of orange daylilies and I want to pull them up and move them. I know you are supposed to do it in the fall, but should I wait for a frost? Same for my lily-of-the-valley and rhubarb. Things are starting to wilt and look a little brown, so when should I pull them up?

Ok.. I need suggestions. I have a log that was eaten out by termites, and I have it upright in a pot and I want to put something in it and use it as an 'ornamental' pot. I'd prefer a hanging plant, or something that weeps. The log is only about 1.5 metres high and 30 centimetres in diameter. I'd like something red, either as the foliage, or flowers. I have a white stone pot, and at the base of the log, i'm planting Black Mondo Grass.. Aussie Natives would be first preference too, but anything that looks good will do :P .. Thanks.

I need help identifying this flower bush, I have no idea what it is. Also, any tips on caring for this bush will be appreciated. When it blossoms it produces many gorgeous flowers, but it attracts a lot of bugs, then the flowers die. What is the best way to care for this bush? Any experts out there?

Apple tree produced apples last season but previous owner did not continue with spraying this season. We would like to get apples again next season but don't know when to begin spraying or what spray to use.

In the past, I have waited until the hazelnuts are brown, ripe and beginning to fall off the trees. By then the squirrels have claimed most of them. This year, I would like my fair share.

I have a houseplant, do'nt know the name.(the leaves are in the shape of the ace of spades) I've repotted it and it grows extremely well. It's getting too big and long. What is the proper way to cut the plant and re-plant them. Thanks for helping!

i mean is it an easy thing? just get 1 single lemon seed and place it in a little pot and watch it grow? or is a matter of making sure the seed is dry? or do you put more than one seed? how many times do i have to water it? does it matter what time of the year i plant it? i know winter is coming, but if i kept it inside would it make a difference??

i know it sounds like an obvious question, but im asking for the big details on how to 'literally' make a lemon tree grow from its bare seed?

oh and how many years will it take for the little tree to grow before it begins to grow flowers for the lemons to start?

My Oak trees are dropping clusters of healthy leaves from the branch tips all the time lately.....I pick up about 25 every couple of days. They branch tips that I am finding are healthy clusters from the ends of branches and they appear to be clean cuts from the tree at an angle...all of them.....almost look pruned. Is there natural phenomenon that someone knows about or am I being the victim of some strange practical joke? My neighbors hate my oaks because they say in the fall, leaves get in their pool.

The only thing I notice is that there is a flurry of activity out there by squirrels, but that is pretty normal in the fall. Could they be doing this?

I have termites in one or two rotten stumps, and recently discovered them munching away at some wooden patio pavings. Should I try to exterminate them before they start on my house? How?

A friend of mine has moved into a new house with a garden and I would like to get her a present of seeds for it. I'd like something like British Wildflowers, or herbs or something. Does anyone know where I can buy online?

I have had a fence line dispute and had my property surveyed. The finding was my back neighbor had moved the fence over on me at one end over 3 feet and about 18 8nches the other end. He also cut down 3 mature trees leaving the stumps. He has sense moved the fence inline with the survey line. In doing all this he left a big mess. When he had his tenant do the first fence he dug down 6 inches or better, now I have a ditch at the fence line, 3 tree trunks, My dog just gets filthy. Also his garage is one inch on my property and his roof extends over on my property about 8 inches. This man has been so nasty as if it was all my fault. I seen a lawyer and he advised me to go to small claims court. I have contacted several tree contrators to give me estimates on root removal The ditch needs to be filled in abd actually it needs to be soded. I am just learning what a water spout is, I was told today that the owner should not ae alowed to let his water run over on my property. HELP!
