Depending on where you live the most common reason for the tips or edges to turn brown is scorch--too much sun. If you can shield it a little bit and see if the new leaves stay healthy. I think they should.

there`s a number of probable reasons. some especies of plants when watered in excess, tend to make the tips of the leaves turn brown. it can be the season, of course, can be an excess of fertilizer, or lack of nutrients. if the plant is in a pot, the holes on the bottom could be colapsed, and the water can`t leave the pot, an d in that case you don`t have a pot, you have a salad bowl. without the name of the plant you are talking about, i can`t think of anything else in order to help you. good luck.

When plants don't receive enough water, it's usually the tips that begin to brown because the water can't get all the way out there. One way to know for sure: pop the plant out of the pot. (Assuming it's in a pot). If the roots are dry, not enough water. If the roots are soggy, it's drowning. Make sure the container has adequate drainage.

This is usually caused by one of two things: either the plant is getting too dry between waterings, or it is near an area where people or animals frequently walk, and the leaves are being continually rubbed by those passing by.

The nutrients stop making it up to the top of the leafs as the weather cools down. The brown on the leaf means it is dying. Good Luck ! :)

It's either too much watering or too little watering. Hard to say from your short question...
