I would bet that they are all ready in your home, eating away. Just because the signs are not there yet, doesn't mean that they aren't all ready inside. By the time you start seeing the signs in your home, you will have a good amount of damage. Look for tunnels running up foundation walls and check out any wood materials that might run up from the ground to your house. I would definitely get a professional pest control company to come out and check your home out and treat for termites.

Wow, you must live somewhere hot, where there probably is more than one species of termite (some home insurance policies require coverage for specific species--make sure you are covered). One tip: keep mulch and any wood debris away from any of the walls of the house--termites will eat mulch, and use mulch interfacing a wall as an entry point. There might be some kind of ultrasonic product that could send a signal that repels termites--I don't know. But, you probably need to consult a company that specialises in termite control. Thankfully many pest control companies now realise that consumers don't want a lot of poisonous chemicals doused around their homes, so the pest control industry now has more people/environment friendly chemicals and techniques. Best you can do is control them--they tend to migrate around as chemicals are applied to a given property, so they could have migrated from a neighbour's house. Good luck!

Call a pest control company!!!
If by chance the termites have NOT gotten into your house, they can treat the termites and you may be able t oget away with some minor damage repairs. This is A LOT cheaper and more convenient for you than the alternative....
If the termites have gotten into your house, they will need to fumigate your house (put a tent over your whole house and fumigate with chemical). You are going to have to remove a lot of things from your house AND you will have to leave you house and will not be allowed to enter it for at least 3 days. This is very inconvenient and expensive.
Call the pest control guys before your house has to be fumigated.

Drill holes in the stumps and then pour spirits of salts down the holes then plug them. The roots will eventually rot away. But for a short term solution paint your patio paving with woodworm protection this should stave off the termites for the time being.
I would however seek professional advice in regards to your house as they may already made ingress into it. You will have to pay a small consultation fee for advice but it is better to shut the stable door before the horse has bolted so to speak.

Yes, get rid of them. The only good way is to call an exterminator. Termites do far more damage then you can see throughout the house and underneath it. You do NOT want your house to depreciate (or fall down) so get someone who is qualified on it immediately.

Yes, definitely get rid of them now. You need to call an exterminator because they are probably already damaging your home. Also, if you want to get rid of the ones you can see, try pouring gasoline on them. I know you aren't supposed to for environmental reasons; so try to stay away from it. However, it does work.

Best you call an Exterminator, if you drive them from the Stump and patio, they will find other food, such as your home, but they need water, don't allow them any.

its a no brainer
if they are a risk to your property get rid of them. and they will be a risk if they are within a few hundred yards.
get a professional in to advise, they may also give soem advice on how to deter future attacks, ie make the habitat a bit more hostile to termites, how to spot 'em

According to liberals, you should never do a "pre-emptive" sort of attack like this upon the innocent termites, but rather wait for them to destroy your house first.
And then the liberals would warn you to understand that "it's not ALL termites" that did it.

Definitely eliminate them, but I would consult an exterminator first, or research on the internet how to do it yourself.
