I'm making a 6' high dog eared fence. I was told I should leave space between the fence and picket. How much should I leave. I also have a hill that was created after removing the old fence. Should I chop this hill off.

Water is pouring out the Temperature & Pressure Relief Valve. The water heater had been set to "Vacation" mode for months. I turned it back to a normal temp setting and five minutes later water was pouring out through the relief valve pipe. I turned off the water to the hot water heater to control the water flow. Can I reset the valve or do I need to replace it? Can I do this myself?

So I just moved into my first home and forgot from my parent's home how many bugs are in the basement. I am finding spiders of course and other bugs.
So my questions is how do you get rid of these bugs ON YOUR OWN?
It is not a big problem where I have to get a bug exterminator involved, so if you have any home remedies I would appreciate it.
My Mom says pour baking soda down along the baseboards but I have 2 cats and a small dog and this can get messy.
So please give any ideas that would be helpful.
Thank you so much and have a great day.

I have 3 barrels and about 12 4x4s about 4 feet long. I want to be able to hook up hoses and water my garden and my lawn. We are going thru a dry spell. Anyway it is better than turning on the tap and watching my hard earned cash running out all over the grass.

I mean you see this is part of the problem with what happens to children who grew up in this type of enviroment. Children who are abused or mistreated have a higher risk for violent behavior and/or psychological problems.

I have textured walls and had to patch a hole in one. It's a good size patch. Is there an easy way to match the wall texture with the drywall patch?

I want them to be little squares, like 2.6666 inches square. When I go to Page Setup and set the paper size to a custom 8x8, only the TOP ruler displays that the page is indeed 8 inches. The vertical ruler shows that the paper is only 6 inches tall! It's so weird. Also, I want to essentially insert a table that is 3 columns across and 3 rows down, so that I can make 9 business cards on each page. Well, it won't let me do this- it keeps making the cells rectangles, instead of the 2.6x2.6 that I am inputting. Another thing is that I am finding that when I finally post the text that I've pre-written (you know, everything I want all nicely laid out on the business card) it WON'T center within the cell. I even highlight the text and hit the "center" button, and it still is all cut off on one side. I just feel like Word is being very UN user friendly today! I'm usually really good with the program. Ideas on how to make 9 little square cards from an 8x8 paper would be awesome!

Back when my grandfather was alive he made a footstool. I remember this footstool being my seat of choice when we were visiting (maybe once a year). After he passed it made it's way into my home. It needs some help, the legs are coming off and the fabric is in tatters. I'd love to rework it so it will be useable again, but how do I do that and it still by the footstool my Grandpa made?
