If you are going for the pro look you will certainly want to pull the toilet to install your floor. When you go to reinstall the toilet you will more than likely need to add a spacer flange as well as a wax ring w/ horn to the original flange to accommodate the new floor height. Make sure you follow the laminate flooring manufacturer's installation instructions for wet areas.

Anyone install a saniflo below grade on a laminate floor? Can you put this toilet on top of the laminate or do you have to at least drill holes where the toilet will be attached to the concrete floor? The floating floor I am putting down in Allure Ultra planks.

Yes. As mentioned, you should buy a flange extender to make up the height difference of the flooring. Should you need to install a different toilet later, the new base will probably not be the same exact shape and you will be scurrying to find a solution. I hope your laminate has a moisture resistant material in it. Bathrooms have high moisture content so an exhaust fan would be recommended. Good luck.

You always pull the toilet, but why put down a laminate floor in the bathroom? That is going to make you scream in a few years wondering why did I do this. Remember, things always look good at first, but what are they going to look like in a few years. Most bathrooms are not that big, do somemore research. There are plenty of other options. good luck.

If you want it to look professional, yes you have to remove the toilet. What will happen if you don't the caulking around it will make it look like it was done by an amateur.

When I had my laminate done by a professional a couple of years ago, he removed the toilet, laid the laminate, and then replaced the toilet. It looks marvelous!

I'm afraid you have to remove the toilet to get that floor down and right. If you don't you will hate yourself for it. Just be careful and don't spill toilet water on yourself...lol I recently redid my own floor in my bathroom and before it wasn't under the toilet and after I did it it looked so much better.

Yes, definitely. If you do not remove it it will be not only very difficult to cut a clean contour in the laminate it will also look hideous.
