I put a 2 degree bevel on both sides of my baseboard to adjust for the arc. My baseboard pieces are cut into inch and half sections to flow around the curve. Is there anything else I can do to reduce the sanding of the profiles. It's ten inch high baseboard, so the profile of the baseboard is very visible and I don't want any flat spots. Thanks.

I have a closet off my bedroom which leads to the bathrom as well. We need book shelf space and the door to the closet just messes the flow up. TO make the whole wall a book case with a hidden door to the closet and bath would be super. I need plans and advice.

I have very gorgeous but very old hardwood floors. The problem is there are tiny gaps between each piece of wood. These gaps are about 2 millimeters wide but big enough for dirt and crumbs to get in. Is there a product or technique I can use to fill in the gaps. I really want to keep these floors because other than the gaps, they are perfect. Thanks.

I'd like to make a simple backpack out of tarpaulin. Getting the tarp will be easy. But, what type of thread would be ideal? Does anyone have any additional suggestions regarding the seams?

Got home tonight to find my central heating pump leaking water from its main body and as a result the circuit breaker blowing on the supply to the central heating. I have isolated the wiring and also isolated the pump by turning off the valves on either side. The pump is a Grundfos 15-50 130 Selectric. Replacement looks straightorward. Can anyone please advise what has happened to this pump and any special things to do on replacement ...i.e will it need bleeding? Should I use PTFE tape on the threads or plumbers sealant? Can I use plumbing pliers to undo the 50mm nuts or is there a special tool? Why do these pumps fail like this? Any help will be really appreciated! Thanks
