I am over 50 and have way too many pictures. 2 Large bins and now that I live in a condo I need to downsize. How do I throw out old pictures? how do I trash my memories? Any ideas on simplyifing my life? I rarely look at them but can't get myself to toss out. Help...

I recently bought a marvelous mosaic piece, however, i want to grout it. Please, which color do u recommend? how can I know whether t use light or dark colored grout? I don't want to spoil this. please help! thx!! btw, i bought it online from www.phoenicianarts.com... amazing work~

*I am trying to find out proper lighting to reduce light damage on pieces of artwork and posters that I own. One suggestion was to have a recommended lighting level of 50 lux.

*I have heard that it is possible to put some sort of UV protection covers on lights to help block UV rays as well.

i have just installed black slate countertop. what wall colors would look good with this. also, the cabinets are old wooden ones that have been painted over many times, they are off-white right now. the walls are a dingy beige. there are hardwood floors of a medium brown. there is a built-in earing nook with benches which id like to upholster (fabric ideas?) also what are some suggestions for window treatments? i dont want anything frilly or floral. also dont want bright colors, bold is good, just not like neon pink or purple or anything like that. whats some good ideas for wall decor. the house is a 1920s art deco.

I have a bought a new home with a finished basement, but the stairs are so steep. I want to redo them even if I have to make a landing and take up more floor space. Anyone out there know anything about this?

I couldn't pass up this little pub set (it is adorable) because it was so cheap, like $250.00 for the table and four stools... but it is in a light maple color (i dont know the color im not a wood person), but it totally would clash with our dining room floor and walls (which are a deep brown)... We wanted to stain it a dark brown or sand it down and paint it black. Is this feasible? Should I go to a store like Home Depot and they would guide me in this type of situation?

NEXT FALL I'M WANTING TOO SELL MY HOME. OF COURSE I'D LIKE TO MAKE THE LARGEST PROFIT THATS POSSIBLE. AWHILE BACK I HAD FOUND A WEB SITE THAT LISTED HOME IMPROVEMENTS AND HOW MUCH THEY WILL INCREASE YOUR PROPERTY. I NOW CAN NOT FIND THIS WEB SITE.
