*I am trying to find out proper lighting to reduce light damage on pieces of artwork and posters that I own. One suggestion was to have a recommended lighting level of 50 lux.

*I have heard that it is possible to put some sort of UV protection covers on lights to help block UV rays as well.

I've worked in picture framing for a few years. I know how expensive it can be, and if your like me it can make you cringe. But I have come to accept that spending the money on UV protected glass is well worth the money. You can keep looking for a way to uv protect your lights but the best thing really is to put the protection in the glass. That way no matter where you move the picture it is protected.

3m makes a great laminate. Some auto tents will work well to.
