I'm painting an apartment for the next tenant and the walls aren't in the best shape, but I only want to spend the time to paint it, not drywall over it. I've used plain white in the past, but found that it really enhanced the flaws. Any ideas?

I mainly like country style but don't know how to bring my room together. I love flea market and auction finds to be incorporated in my home. I would also like to make the dining area feel like an extension of the living room since it's separated by a very large opening. Any advice on finding help?

I'm going to paint the inside of my house in Florida. The tile floors are all terra cotta. I've decided to paint all the rooms different shades of terra cotta from very light to somewhat dark. Should I paint the two small bedrooms a light color (including the ceiling using the same color) in order to make it seem larger? How about the LR which has a vaulted ceiling? Dark colors to make it cozy? Again, how about the ceiling in this large room? The rooms all have quite a bit of natural light.

How about the trim? And the doors? White? or maybe a cream?

My parents want to redo my room. I really like this:
http://ww2.pbteen.com/cat/index.cfm?src=rmscthmgrl%7Crgift&snav=1&cid=thmgrlbbl&area=rms

But, I'm not too impressed with the bedding/rug. Does anyone know some good bedding that goes with that room?

Thanks to everyone who answers!

I just bought this old house. The kitchen cabinets are old and need to be replaced. But the countertop and back splash is made of beautiful hand-painted tiles. I want to find a way to remove the tiles without breaking them, and re-install them on top of the new cabinets. Any ideas of how I can accomplish that?

I have just bought a red leather suite but now I don't know what colours to use with it. My living room is quite small and dark so I can't use red on the walls or floor, I also can't have a very light carpet because the front door opens straight into the living room (dirty foot prints). I can't use white on the walls, it would look too cold as the room is North facing.

Can ya send me any links? Not Ebay though, unless you can find something really cheap and that I don't have to go get. Thank you.

The bathroom ceiling has been scraped and kilz primer, sealer, painted, a bigger exhaust fan put in and now it's flaking again? What's the cause of it, and what can I do to prevent it from happening again?

I'm going to do a little remodeling and was curious as to which is usually done first. I would think the walls would be first so you don't take the chance of damaging the new floor but would like other opinions.

Help, please. How can I solve the above problem? Though two apartments are separated by a wall, the floorboards run underneath. Thus, when my neighbors jump, my floorboards move; when they crank up their bass, my boards start dancing.
