When I redecorated my room,I got all of my stuff at pottery barn teen.Just look around in catalouges and magazines.If some stuff is to expensive, then just improvise!!Use all of those ideas and then go out and see if you can find a cheaper version.Also art on the walls is great. Very feng shui.

You could buy a fold up bed to give you more floor space during the day when you are not sleeping.Buy smaller furniture that will also help.

I painted my bedrooms like this;
1. A garden room; picket fence headboard; picket fence around the walls; painted a tree on one wall, and hung bird houses from it; Painted the ceiling blue, with white clouds.
put some fake ivy climbing the headboard, and put some birds around on the bird houses.
2. A jungle room; hung a canopy of nylon net over the bed, put pictures of tigers etc around the walls, and hung some old guns on a gun rack, used wicker furniture.
3. Fish room; Wall paper of fish hooks and fish on one wall.
anything fishy as accessories ( old fish rods, oars as curtain holders, and for tie backs, those old fish stringers.
4. Victorian room; rose patterned wall paper. old furniture painted white, with decorated gee gaws painted on. and old quilts on the bed.
Fairly easy, and believe me I*m no artist.

you can actually create most of their ideas in a small room. you may have to elminate some furniture or chairs used in it because theres a good chance you wont need them...i would also reccomend using their color palettes and decor..good luck!
also, you can buy some graph paper and make it all to scale with your furniture and everything. its a great way to know how much room you'll have.

Sponge paint maybe?? Thats how I did mine its very easy and it looks nice. You could make it a boarder or something with the colors you like. Also classy is always nice to go with if you done like the cutesy looks.
