I'm going to do a little remodeling and was curious as to which is usually done first. I would think the walls would be first so you don't take the chance of damaging the new floor but would like other opinions.

Smart guy! If it seems logical, it usually is. Always do the walls first, just so you don't have to worry about the floor.

Wall first, floor last. You floors are more expensive than the wall. Unless, of course, you really do some damage and the whole house comes crashing down. In which case......

...you get the idea.

I would work on the wall first, then the floor, and the the base boards. That way, once you are done with the floors, you can get a perfect match on the baseboards.

You are correct, the floors are last. Although if you plan to paint the walls it's fine to do that last. But in terms of construction/repair projects, work from the top down.
