My house is quite small, specifically my living/ entry area. I also donot have any windows that I leave open. I have double glass doors in my bedroom which I open only to hang out the clothes, and I have a small window in my kitchen which is fitted with a fine net mesh on the outside. I donot leave this open either. No windows in living area also. Recently the house has started to smell funny, and stuffy inside. As it is only in the past couple of months I'v noticed this(over the 2years I'v stayed here) I suspect it has to do with trash not taken out regularly. I have been leaving the doors open for a couple of hours every weekend when I'm home but there is still a certain smell..How can I get my house to be odourless again?!Please help!!!I don't know if my carpet also contributes to the odour! My house is always very clean and spotless otherwise.

Hi, I'm deciding which vacuum cleaner is a better buy, DYSON or KIRBY? Looking at comparing:
1). Prices?
2). Reliability?
3). Easy maintenance?
4). Value for money?

Anyone can comments? Thanks in advance.

I just purchased a Shark hard surface steam cleaner. My hardwood floors have been refinished about 8 years ago and are still in very good condition.

Perhaps some one out there can share their experiences with other uses for the hard surface steam cleaner as well. The shark owner's manual is very short without too many tips or precautions.

I was in the mall today shopping, and I saw a sweater I REALLY wanted. The only problem is, they didn't have one in my size. So I bought one that was 1 size too big, hoping that I'll be able to shrink it somehow.

How can I shrink it in the washer and/or the dryer down one size? Will it get too small? Will the shrink be permanet? Thanks! :)

and i've washed it once since it got and the first time i washed it it streched out a little but not enough to worry about. I bought it as a medium and then when i i washed it again today it got streched out from about a medium to about an x-large. Is there a way i can get it back down to at least a size between medium and large cuz anything bigger than that and it is practically falling off of me.

Hi there - anybody have a good way to clean the white fringe on a large Persian rug? I hate to send it out as it does not appear soiled anywhere else. Just normal use has made soiled looking areas on the fringe itself. My concern is to keep the fringe looking as new as possible withough shredding the fibres or anything. Thanks for any help.

Could anyone recommend an inexpensive way to clean a ring? It's a spinner ring with Celtic knotwork, so there's dirt in all the tiny holes that is very difficult to get out. It's steel or some other type of plain metal, and all the ring-cleaning solutions I've seen have been for silver or gold. How would I clean this ring?

I use a Walmart brand of laundry detergent and have always wondered if the more expensive ones really work better. Do they clean better or make clothes last longer? I do not know if there have ever been any studies done on this (not that it is a hot topic). But I am curious to know if they work the same or not. Thank you for your input!
