The maintenance man came and poured something in it to eliminate the smell but it still stinks! I would prefer to use something chemical free if possible. Thanks!

I've got a auto-drip coffee make with one of those glass pots. It's got a year's worth of stains I've tried to scrub off but won't come clean. Is there a special solution or something I can use.

we finished the basement 2 years ago. Had it sealed. We live a little farther south so humidity is a problem in our area. But I have 1375 sq ft of finished walkout basement that I cant seem to keep the musty smell out of, short of getting a dehumidifier. Which I would prefer not to have to buy. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks in advance

For wiping up small spills is it cheaper to use a paper towel, or grab a couple of tissues, or napkin. I'm talking about a few drops of milk on the counter, or a splash of coffee.

Can my 1/2" gas pipe deliver a combined 60,000 BTU with no problems?

I have just replaced my older electric clothes dryer with a new gas dryer (rated at 22,000 BTU) and would like to tap into my existing 1/2" gas pipe that feeds my water heater 8 feet away (rated at 34,000 BTU). I have spoke with plumbers and they are 50/50 on telling me that the existing 1/2" line will not provide enough BTU for optimum performance on both my water heater and clothes dryer.

I do not want to get ripped off as the job is $600 more expensive if I have to repipe 3/4" gas to the appliances nor do I want my clothes dryer to run for hours because not enough gas is available to dry my clothes.

Any help is greatly appreciated - and if you are an expert in this field say so in your answer !

Hi there - just had an awful experience with a cheap Eureka vacuum. I guess you get what you pay for! I will NEVER buy a Eureka product after owning this piece of crap - it's only a little over a year old, and I'm constantly having problems with it. It clogs after nearly every use! I'm no slob either, I vacuum every other day! Anyhow, I've gone through two belts in the last month, and it looks like the brush roll is broken now, because it still won't turn. It'd probably be cheaper just to replace the roll, but I seriously have issues with this vacuum cleaner! Lol* I'd rather just toss it.

Has anyone tried a Dyson? Is it worth the money? OR, has anyone purchased another brand that's been a good purchase? Hoping to get something at Walmart or Kmart! Lol* Thanks for any help! :)

I recently moved and puchased a sofa from a second hand vintage store. The sofa is gorgeous but I got a really good deal on it bc it has a stain and a tear on the right arm and seat cushion. I was wondering if anyone knew the best and least expensive way to clean it? The colors of the sofa are a bit dull and I was thinking of renting one of those hand cleaners and mixing in color safe bleach with water to brighten the color. Would this be safe for the sofa? The material is a cotton clothlike material. Any other suggestions to brighten it?

Can clothing with "permanent press" (rubber) writing be bleached?

i have some white t-shirts with "rubbery" writing on them (so these are kind of like rubber letters glued the shirt, not drawn on it in paint) that i accidentaly put in the wash with some colorful clothing & one red sweatshirt bled onto the t-shirts, so now the t-shirts are a gross pinkish color -- i need to know if it is safe to bleach the t-shirts and whether bleaching them will screw up the lettering

thanks!

I've been using my washing machine since 12 years ago.

It does not spin from time to time and water is also leaking from time to time.

What can be wrong with it?

Need advice whether to repair it or buy new one.
