Yes here is an idea, Cigarette burns

For small minor burns, try rubbing mayonnaise into the burn. Let set for a while before wiping off with a soft cloth.
Burns can be repaired with a wax stick (available in all colors at paint and hardware stores). Gently scrape away the charred finish. Heat a knife blade and melt the shellac stick against the heated blade. Smooth over damaged area with your finger. But always consider the value of the furniture. It might be better to have a professional make the repair.
Or, make a paste of rottenstone (available at hardware stores) and salad oil. Rub into the burned spot only, following the grain of the wood. Wipe clean with a cloth that has been dampened in oil. Wipe dry and apply your favorite furniture polish.

Good Luck !

Depends on how deep the burn is. Wood is a tricky material when it comes to stains and other damage. Since it is a natural material that actually has cells that will react to different substances. Also, depends on if the table is french polished or if it has a lacquer finish. For french polish, If the burn is simply on the very top surface of the table then with a little mineral spirits and some very fine steel wool you may be able to lift the mark, however you will have to re-stain the area to match the rest of the table and then polish. If the mark is deeper into the table then you are going to have to sand down the area then refinish the surface. As far as lacquered surfaces...well you are just going most likely have to redo the entire surface. Just as a matter of information, if you ever get a water mark on your table, as soon as you can take a warm iron (not hot, because that can make a different mark) and a dish towel and press the towel with the warm iron over the area and you will most likely be able to "steam" out the watermark, but this is only if you catch it right away.

unfortuntately there isn't any easy way to do it.

you're going to have to take the table sand it down to the wood, and possibly sand the wood some more depending on how bad and deep the burn goes into the wood.

you will have to sand the entire table though, not just where you burnt it, because if you don't the paint won't match up properly when you paint it later

sorry, thats the only way i know of, thats how i've had to do it in the past
