The same reason as there is always one sock left on the floor after you turned the last load of washing on - I personally believe they are invisible in both cases until the water is tipped out or in my case, the washing machine door is locked shut.... that's life, isn't it?

It hides under all the pots and its never recognized until you drain the water. Be careful of dragging the bottom of the water before dumping. As there could be a KNIFE hiding.

well I do all the pot´s first as they take up so much room ., then the plates and leave the cutlery for last . But normally put in the dish washer
