Am I in big trouble 4 washing it in the laundry (lol) & since I did do it what would be the worst water temp. I could have set it on? If this helps it's from Banana Republic if anyone has Banana Republic & might have done the same thing maybe that might help me out. I'm streaching. This is her e-mail thing, but go ahead & send it here I have her password, (If that's how this works this is my 1st time on here I'm in a panic) but please help me! I am soooooo usually a great gf 2 her & the one cleaning & all that kind of thing, but she always does the laundry & now I know why, lol. I will leave that 2 her from now on that's 4 sure. I just 4got 2look @ the tag, ya know what's a girl to do? Should I go bi her a new one? I don't even think I can afford it, lol & now it gets worse now that I think about that part of it. No, I'm very lucky, she will be so sweet that's why I feel like such an ***. I just HATE I did this & it's 1 of my favorite things on her. Can anyone help me please?!?! Thanks

shrinkage and total loss pull out the wallet call online order two and buy 2 cleanings at dry cleaners then take her out to dinner

Throw it in the garbage and never mention you even attempted it. If it comes up, start sweeping the kitchen floor and say "Hmmm! not really sure honey." It may not be the right thing to do, but 40 years from now you can say "hey, you remember that sweater...."

Now for the right thing to do. Take her shopping. Admit you messed up. This will get you out of doing laundry for years. lol

Ohhhhh this is very bad news, cashmere shrinks, it should be dry cleaned as the tag says and there is nothing you can do to save this sweater, I am sorry to say! Sounds like she might make you buy her another one, but I do not know how forgiving your girlfriend is. Wish you the best of luck !

It shouldn't hurt to machine wash the sweater, just don't put it in the dryer, let it dry flat.

I'd worry more about what is going to happen to you than I would what will happen to the sweater.
