My friend insists on cleaning with a mixture of Bleach and ammonia.

okay my parents are divorced and i live half at my dads nd half at my moms. My moms house is clean but as for my dads house.....itsa pigsty! ugh i wanna clean it bt when ever i start i get overwhelmed and stop. Any suggestions on how to clean it?

There were no cleaning instructions with it and I want to clean it proper so that it lasts. I would like to know if it's safe to use water for daily clean ups. Do I use Pledge each time after we eat? What about spills? Any help would be grateful.

I just bought a wool sweater online..
and the length of the sweater is perfect.
but the width it too wide. Its just too big!
I bought a small but it seems more like large.
Is there a way I can shrink it but keep the length? Any home or machine wash/drier ideas are welcome. And Thank you in advance!

I usually use Folex for spot cleaning, but I've never had to "face" bright blue Play-Doh, and I don't want to do anything which will "set" the stain in the rug. Any suggestions? I appreciate all answers, but please try not to steer my efforts in the wrong direction...the spot is right in front of a chair, so it really shows. Thanks SO much. Dottievan

We have 2 dogs and a cat and the hair is terrible. I can vaccuum with my regular vac and there is still hair around. And I can't get it off the couch for nothing. they say those Dyson's are supposed to be so good but they are $$$ and I won't spend that much if they are not good.

I just used the small load cycle on my washer and put not even a half a cap full of bleach into the container on the side. My basement smells like bleach. The only ventilation we have is the door to the upstairs. What do i do? Is it bad to spend time in my den downstairs while the smell is there? Are there any major health risks? If my clothes come out of the dryer and smell like bleach how should i get it out?

I have my exercise equipment in my basement but find myself not wanting to use it because my basement smells so "basementy". Not moldy or anything...just stale. Any suggestions? PS- I've had it professionaly cleaned....smelled better for about 2 weeks.

We just recently bought a set of satin sheets and while they are very comfortable, the top sheet keeps sliding off of the bed and taking our comforter with it! Is there some sort of trick or product I can get to keep it from doing this? I didn't know where else to post this, so I hope someone can help!
