We have 2 dogs and a cat and the hair is terrible. I can vaccuum with my regular vac and there is still hair around. And I can't get it off the couch for nothing. they say those Dyson's are supposed to be so good but they are $$$ and I won't spend that much if they are not good.

I have had the Dyson Animal, the purple one for about 3 yrs. now and I love it. I vacuum every day, so it really gets used. I have 2 dogs, and it picks up every hair and thensome. The edge cleaner on the vacuum is also great. I hardly ever have to use the wand on the edges, and I have wall to wall carpeting.

they are one of then best!!! I have both modles and I don't think I could live with out it they don't use filters and they are bag less so nothing to change and they don't seem to loose power like other including kirby and rainbow's I would recomend them to any one the pet hair one lifts every thing and miond you I have 9 cats and 3 large dogs in the house and there is nothing left over so even though they are about 500 dollars they are so way worth it

I have the purple one designed for those who have pets/animals in the house. It is good, but the handle had to be returned to the factory, as it broke. I still don't know how/when/why it happened. Right now, I need to take it apart for the regular maintenance of filter,etc. I also have a rebuilt Rainbow which is fantastic...I love it! Hope this helps you...good luck. Dottievan

i have a dyson and its not any better than some cheaper vacs. just gonna have to vacuum more frequently and try brushing the animals. good luck

My brother has one he says it works better than any other brand out there. He should know he has 3 very large dogs and 2 cats, they all stay inside.

we have one and LOVE IT! It's the best thing I've invested in. It picks up the dog hair like magic. I even vacuum the dog's bed with it!

my mum owns one and she has the purple one wich specalizes in pet hair. It does work good. It is a bit pricey but its definatly worth it
