Well, I don't think there's any such thing as perfection - but it's something to strive for, I suppose.

Have you considered trying a system like the FLYLADY? FlyLady uses the Sidetracked Home Executive (SHE) system as a basis for organizing her home and her life. FLY means "Finally Loving Yourself" and she's a very friendly, basic coach who works on applying systematic cleaning habits to your household to keep you sane. FlyLady breaks the house into five manageable sections.

You can do it on your own or sign up for newsletters and daily flash mails and such.

Well, it would really depend on how everything looks now. If you have to start from scratch take one room a day and clean it to your best ability. When you have all the house deep cleaned then make you a schedule. You don't have to vacumm every day. But if you make you a schedule to vacumm on Mondays and Fridays. Your floor will be clean for the weekend visitors and Monday you clean it for the week. You can sweep and mop on those days also.
Say on Tuesdays and Thursday you wash clothes. Wednesdays you wash bed clothes.
Every evening after supper you get the kitchen cleaned. We do that as a family. The only thing you will need to work in your schedule is the bathrooms and dusting.
As the day goes by for me if there are extra stuff to do like pick up here and there I just do that as I see it or whatever. Stuff stays nice incase company shows up unexpected.
Just my thoughts.

Ah! I had the same problem dear..

I just made sure I follow these...

1) Not to make too many dishes
2) Refer reciepies on internet before cooking
3) No rough handling of dishes while washing them
4) Hand over all valuables in my hubby's hand so that he takes the blame if he drops it down.

n now I'm close to perfect.

Good luck!
