Cleaning & Laundry - January 2007

Somehow one of the kids silly putty got on my scarf and it is stuck all in the fringes and everything, and i can not get it out.
p.s I tried freezing it by putting it in the freezer, but that did not work.
please help, This is my favorite scarf. Thank You, and happy new year

My Mom is a Smoker. She smokes in her bedroom. I tell her to close the door and put a rug or sheet up against the door but she refuses. So everytime she smokes, the smoke gets in the living room and some parts of the dining room. Well really everywhere in the house. And it's driving me crazy. I'm 16 andd I hvae asthma and she doesn't respect that. She normally goes outside and smoke but since it's cold outside, she's smoking indoors. So it's drving everyone in the house crazy.

What kind of Spray or Powder something to get the smell out of the other rooms and the house and carpet.

OMG I cannot take this anymore. Ever since she started back smoking in the house, my asthma has gotten worse. I feel like that icky green stuff in my throat. My eyes are burning. My Purse, Clothes Backpack smell like smoke. All because of HER!!!.

I'm a Fashion Designer and I had to take all my drawing equipment, manequins, fabric. Everything out the house and take it over to my Dads. Please Help!

I know now to mix the detergent with water first...

At any rate, I've tried rinsing, rinsing with oxy-clean, and pretreating with some german laundry soap + rinsing.

Any other ideas?

I work in a kitchen and, in an attempt to clean the floor underneath the dish machine, one of my co-workers poured delimer. It is a dark brown tile floor, and, when the delimer dried/soaked in, it left a dry, white, powdery residue embedded in the floor. It also gave off a horrible stench. Now, we cannot figure out how to make this problem disappear. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of cleaning product to use on this??? Thank you!

The jersey is rather expensive and has a number on it. Material it is made of is 100% polyester. We tried putting a little bleach on a q-tip and putting it just on the crayon and tried Zout(otc stain remover which is very good) and you can still see it, though it has lightened it considerably. I told her it will get lighter each time, but he's spazzing out about it. (It is barely noticeable) Any suggestions how to remove it even more?
