yes, but you would need an adaptor for the plug in. also note:

Laundry: Washing machines and dryers are small in France. Don't expect that you will be able to do a large load of laundry. Some apartments come furnished with washing machines but it's rare that they will have a dryer too. If you go to a laundromat, be prepared to pay 4 € just to wash (and not even dry) one load.

Hi

there is no problem with the electrical side - just change the plug.

However you have to make a small mod to the plumbing. UK washing machines have hot & cold water inlets, Euro machines cold inlets only. You will only have a cold tap, too. If you only connect the cold water, some programmes (which only take hot water) will not work.

The solution is to use a Y shaped connector hose. It connects to hot & cold inlets on the machine and just to the cold tap. They are cheap to buy in both UK and France.

Like the other poster answered, you should be able to us it with an adapter. We spent a little time in Europe and for some reason came home with a vacuum cleaner from there. Before we left, we talked with the vendor there and he was able to get us an adapter that would work here. If I remember, the orientation of the prongs is different.

Yes, voltage is the same, so are plumbing connections, or easily adapted to fit. All you need to do is change the 3 pin plug to a French 3 pin CEE7/7 type. You MAY need to have a 3 pin socket installed if one is not present.
