Maybe try some vegetable oil. I use that for the sticky stuff from stickers. (Adhesive.)lol
works well for that so maybe it will work on sap. It's sticky too.

Put a bit of gasoline on a rag or paper towel & wipe it over your windshield. It will get anything off...guaranteed! If you don't want to use gasoline, then you can also use spray-on carbuerator cleaner on your glass & chrome...especially great on wire wheels!!!

Use some wd-40 on a wash cloth and wipe it off. Works great.

Gojo hand cleaner-rinse well with amnoiated glass cleaner-then treat with wiperless "rain repellent". Carefull with hand cleaner-can eat paint if left on.

pressure wash your car. with soap. get the pressure washer sprayer right up on the sap, real close. scrub if necessary.
