Hi there, unfortunately a member of my family (yes, its me) has had a very very bad case of wind today and the house absoleutly stinks!
I work from home and have people coming round in the morning so need to shift the stink. I am currently sat here freezing to death with both my french doors and kitchen door open trying to air the place but it still reeks. I dont want to use air freshener as it only makes another smell, it doesn't really clear the green acid mist in the air!
Please help!!!

A large candle was left on top of the TV, melted a hole right through itself and dripped down the front of the TV to the carpeting below.

There stuff all over the floor in the living room, objects everyone, somehow crumbs from a burgerking crossaint is everywhere, in the hallway there are clothes galore, and the bedroom is just frightful... Clothes EVERYWHERE, junk everywhere... the kitchen is nasty with tons of dishes and mess everywhere... clutter everywhere... A plumber is coming by tomorrow..

How would I quickly clean all of this, or at least do a few things that makes it appear to be cleaner?

I have an aunt who is visiting my sister, and my sister called up this morning to tell me how upset she is because our aunt loves doing the dishes with pine sol. My sister has always used liquid dish detergent and a bit of bleach but it seems that our aunt has taken over and everytime my sister tells her she doesn't like it our aunt just ignores her and does it her way anyway. I really don't think this is right, i mean i am sure pine-sol will leave a residue on the dishes that can then be very harmfull to us. Am i wrong?

My cat knocked over a bottle of bubble bath onto the carpet. I soaked up a lot of it, but what would be the easiest way to clean it up? It is soaked into the carpet. I have a steam cleaner, any suggestions?

I wash my dish rags and dish towels seperatley from all other laundry. I wash them in hot water and use detergent and bleach. When they come out of the dryer they feel oily . Why is this happening? They didnt have any kind of oil on them when they went in the washer. My towels come out fine and all my other laundry does too. My washer is new and has never had anything oily washed in it.

I have a 3 bed, 3 reception room, 2 bath home, with small front/rear garden. I am so haphazard with housework, and I don't want to spend more than 2/3 hours on it a week. What do you advise? Before I disappear under the mess.
