If you have a steam iron, do you have to empty the water out of the iron after each use or else will it corrode the surface of the iron? Or does leaving the water in the iron do nothing?

Well, besides the normal wine, dirt, etc. I have pets that've left quite the mark on my basement carpet, and i have no solutions! I mean i've tried pretty much EVERYTHING on the market, and nothing seems to work. Maybe someone out there can let me in on a little 'home-made' remedy?

We have a washing machine that is six months old. The inside smells incredibly musty, so even after washing clothes, the clothes have this musty odor. What can we do to get rid of this smell? We leave the lid open all the time, but no luck. Is there some sort of cleaner?

My laundry doesn't come out clean. What can I do to have whiter, brighter clothes with great smell? Should I just run the washer with water and detergent only to wash the inside of the washer or is not necessary?

i spilled pink fingernail polish on a rug on the baige part, and i got the stain out with a little fingernail polish remover, and some shaving cream, and oxi clean, and then i had a big darker stain on the rug, and i used some more shaving cream, oxi clean, grease lightning, and resolve, and some other carpet stain remover, and water, and it is still a little damp, but it is still darker. it looks like a huge water stain or something. i need to know how to get it out or if when it dries up it will come out.

I used to get these great little bags of herbs that left my sneaks smelling great. Can't find them any more, nor a recipe. I'm not looking for the baking powder/essential oil variety - just herby things.

Anyway, it's a Pampered Chef basting brush, and my husband and I disagree about how to clean it, especially after using it with oils.

So I put this pink fuzzy blanket in with some darks, quite by accident of course. Now there are fuzzies all over my blacks that won't come off. Tried washing the load again, but didn't work. Any great tricks that won't require sitting for hours using a lint roller on a load of clothes? Help please!!

My son knocked over a candle and the wax stained the carpet. My dog also peed on the carpet. I have cleaned up the messes but cannot get rid of the stains. What is a good way to get out pet odor and candle wax stains?

After boiling the skull, there is a greasy white residue that will not come off easily ... it just smears rather than cleans.
