After boiling the skull, there is a greasy white residue that will not come off easily ... it just smears rather than cleans.

Add salt to the boiling water and clean with a Brillo pad. As soon as its clean, Dry and add a tablesppon of oil to the pad to protect it

I would buy a new pot and keep this old one outside somewhere to use again in the future.

Use a detergent that works for cleaning grease such as dawn

this is natural fat and oils. try a degreaser or solvent like alcohol. don't ever use this pot for anything else ever again. like i wouldn't cook spagghetti in it.
