Ouch. that sucks :/
I got gum on one of my softshell jackets and the way i got it off was, as people suggested, use ice on it or put it in the freezer. basically -COLD-, hahah. The ice will make the gum a lot more firm and thus much easier to peel off.
someone suggested "Goo-GOne" but be cautious that that doesn't affect (if your jacket has it) waterproofing and weather resistance coatings.
good luck and shake your fist at those pesky kids and their bubble gum.

use an ice cube to freeze it and then a butter knife to scrape off the frozen gum, when you have done all you can send to drycleaner and tell him whats on it. or if its washable coat the stain with goofoff, or oops and wash, do not put it in the dryer until you are really sure the gum is off, keep reapplying the oops and washing till its gone.

Try putting you jacket into freezer for a few hrs. this will solidify the gum and it should be easier to remove most ,if not all ,of the gum from jacket

Try Ice. It will harden the gum and make it easier to remove.

Get a product called Goo-Gone at the grocery store in the Laundry Detergent isle. I've used it on similar problems.
