Does anyone know of a good reliable vacuum cleaner for around 200 dollars or less. It will primarily be used on thick carpet. Thanks a lot.

Try a Panasonic or Sanitaire. Some suggestions:

Sanitaire SC899E Quick Kleen Vacuum -- It's a good vacuum and one of the cheaper Sanitaires

or Panasonic has some bagless ones that are good.

Eureka is really cheap but I'm not sure the quality of their vacs.

I have bought 2 vacuums from www.powervacs.com
I really like this website because it has the lowest prices & teaches you about vacuums.

I have always found that a Dirt Devil vacuum works really well on thick carpet. Walmart or K-Mart have the best deals on vacuums.
Happy vacuuming!

Try a commercial Panasonic upright. They have a bypass motor where stuff won't break it if you suck up metallic things, etc. I love my Panasonic.

The MC-5204 looks pretty decent for the money and has good parts.

I've not used this site but when I'm in the market to replace I will give them a shot bc I've looked at others for plenty more money. These are good deals from what I've seen out there.
