Well, besides the normal wine, dirt, etc. I have pets that've left quite the mark on my basement carpet, and i have no solutions! I mean i've tried pretty much EVERYTHING on the market, and nothing seems to work. Maybe someone out there can let me in on a little 'home-made' remedy?

I love Folex because it really cleans and deodorizes, but the best part is it doesn't leave a brown spot once it has dried.

We have had to clean some potty accidents #1 & #2 and it did a stunning job of removing the smell and there are no marks at all. Also, it is less expensive than other carpet stain removers. Check WalMart for the best deals.

We used Spot Stain Remover & Bissell Professional Carpet Treatment in the past and it cleaned the mark nicely but after about a week a brown stain would show up exactly where the spill was and we had to have the carpets professionally cleaned. Bissell has a great smell but was bad at removing odors.

I use a stain remover called Simple Solution Stain and Odour Remover, I have a puppy and its great for all the stains a dog can produce, but its also brilliant for household stains too like blood, red wine, juice, coffee, tea and grass etc. Its safe to use on carpets and upholstery. You can buy it from pet shops or online. Might be worth a try.

Hi, this is what I conjer up for my carpets.I to have dogs in the house. My Border Collie and, my Husband! Get a bucket, put a small squrit of Dawn liquid dish soap in it, One bottle of club soda(any brand will do) about a half cup of white distilled vinigar, and fill it up the rest of the way with hot water. If you have a stain, ring a cloth, or towel that has been soaked in the solution, out til it's wet but not dripping. lay it over the stain for about fifteen minutes. It comes right out! This workes on every stain i've ever used it on. Have fun!

My vote is for Oxyclean. Have you tried it? I discovered it worked soooo well on a juice stain, and ended up doing the whole room, including pet stains! It's awesome, but the key is HOT water when mixing it in your sprayer. It works on anything that is not chemical based and it works so well, it makes cleaning spots fun!

I would try goof off but make sure you use a piece of the carpet to clean it with if you use a rag the rag's dye may bleed on the carpet....good luck.....
